The intention to this drawing is: Instead of a threat you can also see death as a friend which is on our side from birth on. From cradle to grave... He brings us back to the realm of shadows when our time has come.
The same in German: Der Hintergrundgedanke zu diesem Motiv ist, dass man den Tod statt als Bedrohung auch als Freund sehen kann, der einen von Geburt an immerzu beleitet. Von der Wiege bis in die Urne... und uns zurück ins Reich der Schatten holt, wenn unsere Zeit gekommen ist.
